दिल्ली के सांसद परवेश वर्मा जी ने शीतकालीन सत्र के दौरान भारतीय संसद में दिल्ली की दो करोड़ जनता का अपमान किया।
परवेश वर्मा ने दिल्ली के निर्वाचित सीएम के लिए जिस तरह की भाषा का इस्तेमाल किया वह भाजपा के सांस्कृतिक और बौद्धिक दिवालियापन को दर्शाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि केवल लोकतांत्रिक रूप से निर्वाचित सीएम ही नहीं बल्कि वह दिल्ली के अभिभावक भी हैं। सीएम के स्वास्थ्य पर व्यक्तिगत और अपमानजनक टिप्पणी दिल्ली की दो करोड़ जनता का अपमान है। प्रवेश वर्मा का आचरण ऐसा था कि अध्यक्ष महोदय ने कई अन्य टिप्पणियां न करने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री के व्यक्तिगत स्वास्थ्य पर ऐसी टिप्पणी कर प्रदर्शित कर दिया कि उनमें संसदीय शिष्टाचार और संस्कार का घोर अभाव है। विपक्षी नेताओं का अनादर करना भाजपा के सदस्यों की विशेषता है। हम परवेश वर्मा जी द्वारा इस्तेमाल की गई अपमानजनक भाषा की कड़ी निंदा करते हैं और कामना करते हैं कि उन्हें भारतीय संस्कृति और परंपरा के निर्वहन का बोध हो। लोकतांत्रिक रूप से निर्वाचित सीएम की गरिमा का ध्यान सभी को रखना चाहिए। यद्यपि श्री वर्मा के बयानों पर प्रतिक्रिया नहीं दिया जाना चाहिए, लेकिन इसकी निंदा करना महत्वपूर्ण है । क्योंकि उन्होंने किसी व्यक्ति का अपमान करने का प्रयास नहीं किया, बल्कि दिल्ली के उन लोगों का अपमान किया, जिन्होंने श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को सबसे अधिक जनादेश के साथ सीएम चुना। जोकि भारत के राज्यों के चुनावी इतिहास में सबसे बड़ी जीत थी। संसद के कई सदस्यों ने वायु प्रदूषण के संबंध में कई महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु उठाए लेकिन परवेश वर्मा जी के आचरण ने विशेष रूप से नैतिकता, संस्कृति और बौद्धिक दिवालियापन को उजागर किया, जिसने आज भाजपा को जकड़ लिया है। अंत में, मुख्यमंत्री को गाली देना, उनका व्यक्तिगत स्वास्थ्य और परिवार पर बोलना निंदनीय है और व्यक्तिगत जड़ द्वेष और दुश्मनी को उजागर करता है, जो बीजेपी आम आदमी पार्टी के प्रति रखती है। क्योंकि भाजपा अभी भी 2015 की चुनावी हार के अपमान से उबरी नहीं है। अगर वे मानते हैं कि ऐसा करने से वे दिल्ली में वायु प्रदूषण की समस्या का हल ढूंढने में सक्षम होंगे तो वे ऐसा करने के लिए स्वतंत्र हैं।

On derogatory statements by MP Parvesh Verma in Lok Sabha today during discussion on Air Pollution

Disgrace was brought upon the Indian parliament on the second day of the Winter Session 2019 of by the unparliamentarily, derogatory and defamatory remarks of Delhi’s MP Shri Parvesh Verma. Speaking in the august house, Parvesh Verma chose to forgo decency and respectfulness by referring to Delhi’s elected CM in the most crass form of the language, which shows the BJP’s cultural and intellectual bankruptcy. He further disrespected not merely the democratically elected CM but also the institution that is Indian Parliament by making personal and derogatory remarks on CM’s health and speaking like a street side troll. His conduct even prompted the speaker in the chair Shri Kirit Premjibhai Solanki to interrupt him multiple times and request him to not make personal remarks. By taking cheap potshots at the Chief Minister’s personal health, Parvesh Verma has demonstrated that he has lost all semblance of parliamentary manners, courtesy and propriety. It is also characteristic of BJP members to be disrespectful of opposition leaders while being nauseatingly sycophantic towards their own. We strongly condemn the unparliamentarily, derogatory and defamatory language used by Parvesh Verma and wish that he had held strong to Indian culture and tradition of civility and referred to the democratically elected CM with dignity that would only reflect upon his conduct. Though Mr.Verma’s statements should not even be dignified with a response, it is important to condemn it as it he attempted to insult not an individual, but the people of Delhi, who elected the Shri Arvind Kejriwal as their CM with the highest ever mandate in India’s electoral history. While, many Members of Parliament raised several important points regarding Air Pollution, Parvesh Verma’s conduct in particular exposed the moral, cultural and intellectual bankruptcy which has gripped the BJP. Finally, abusing the Chief Minister, his personal health and family is beyond condemnable and exposes the deep rooted personal hatred and animosity that BJP has towards AAP as it is still reeling under the humiliation of 2015 electoral defeat. If they believe that by doing so, they will be able to find a solution to the air pollution problem in Delhi, they may feel free to curse him day in and day out.
