कुछ साल पहले मैं भी आम आदमी था। पहले मेरे परिवार में 6 लोग थे। पार्टी बनाई तो परिवार और बढ़ा। मुख्यमंत्री बना तो परिवार 2 करोड़ हो गया। इस परिवार में कोई बीमार होता था तो तकलीफ होती थी। सरकारी स्कूल देख तकलीफ होती थी, इसी कारण सरकारी अस्पताल और स्कूल को ठीक किया। मुझे पता है, एक परिवार को बिजली-पानी का बिल भरने व बस का किराये देने के लिए कितनी मशक्कत करनी पड़ती है। इस कारण दो सौ यूनिट बिजली, पानी और बस में महिलाओं का किराया मुफ्त किया। मैं खुद को दिल्ली के हर परिवार का बड़ा बेटा मानता हूं। बड़े बेटे की तरह ही पांच साल में मैंने दिल्ली का ख्याल रखा, क्योंकि मुझे आम आदमी का दर्द पता है। दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने यह बात शहीद रूपेश गुर्जर के सम्मान समारोह के दौरान तैमूर नगर ओखला में कहीं।
नियम बदलकर शहीद रूपेश गुर्जर के परिवार की मदद की- अरविंद केजरीवाल
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा
आज हम भाई शहीद रूपेश गुर्जर को सम्मान देने के लिए एकत्र हुए हैं। वह बहादुरी के साथ नशा बेचने वालों के खिलाफ लड़ रहे थें। ड्रग माफिया ने उनकी हत्या कर दी। ऐसे लोग बहुत कम होते हैं, जो समाज के लिए जान देते हैं। वरना लोग सोचते हैं मुझे करना, मुझे क्या पड़ी है। लेकिन समाज में कुछ लोग होते हैं जो बहादुरी के साथ लड़ते है, वह जान की परवाह नहीं करते, रूपेश गुर्जर उसमें से एक थें। उनकी हत्या के बाद परिवार पर समस्याओं का पहाड़ टूट गया। फिर समाज के लोग मुझसे मिले। उन्होंने जो भी गाइड किया, आज उसे पूरा किया। उन्होंने सहायता राशि को कहा, बच्चों के स्कूल में दाखिला को कहा, चौक का नाम रूपेश गुर्जर के नाम पर रखने को कहा और पत्नी को नौकरी देने की बात कही, यह सब पूरा किया। इसके लिए कोई नियम बदला पड़ा, वह भी किया लेकिन परिवार की मदद की। मेरी कामना है कि बच्चे बड़े होकर पिता की तरह देश की सेवा करें।
दिल्ली में हो रहे काम के लिए मेरा धन्यवाद न करें, आपने मुख्यमंत्री बनाया। धन्यवाद के हकदार आप हैं – अरविंद केजरीवाल
सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा मैं दिल्ली को यकीन दिलाता हूं, मैं दिल्ली के सभी परिवार का बड़ा भाई और बड़ा बेटा हूं । मैं गांव व शहीद रूपेश गुर्जर का बड़ा भाई हूं। परिवार को गांव को कुछ भी जरूरत हो, मेरे पास आए। मुख्यमंत्री के तौर पर हर मदद करूंगा। सीएम ने कहा कुछ दिन पहले गुर्जर समाज के लोग मेरे पास धन्यवाद करने आए। मैं कहना चाहता हूं, वह मेरा धन्यवाद न करे। धन्यवाद के काबिल आप लोग हैं। पांच साल पहले इतनी बड़ी कुर्सी पर आप लोगों ने मुझे बैठाया। एक आम आदमी को मुख्यमंत्री बनाया। इसी कारण सारे काम हो रहा।आपने इमानदार पार्टी की सरकार बनाई। आज आपके बीच का व्यक्ति मुख्यमंत्री है।
मैं भी आम आदमी हूं, इस कारण आम आदमी का दर्द जानता हूं, तभी इतने काम किए – अरविंद केजरीवाल
मैं भी आम आदमी की तरह हूं । कौशांबी गाजियाबाद में रहता था। बिजली बिल, बच्चों की फीस, पानी-बिजली का बिल, मेट्रो-बस का किराया देने के लिए कितनी मसक्कत करनी पड़ती है, उसे जानता हूं। भगवान न करे, कोई एक परिवार में बीमार हो जाए तो ईलाज में परिवार बर्बाद हो जाता है। मैं पूरी दिल्ली को परिवार मानता हूं। बड़े बेटे की जिम्मेदारी निभाता हूं। इसी कारण लोगों के बेहतर और मुफ्त इलाज की व्यवस्था की, दो सौ यूनिट बिजली बिल माफ किया। स्कूल बेहतर किए। बस में महिलाओं की मुफ्त यात्रा की। सीएम ने कहा मुझसे लोग पूछते हैं, आम आदमी के लिए इतना कुछ करने का खयाल कैसे आता है। मैं आम आदमी की पीड़ा जानता हूं । तभी आज दिल्ली के 60 -70 प्रतिशत लोग के बिजली बिल शून्य आ रहे है। मोहल्ला क्लीनिक खुल रहे हैं। अस्पताल में इलाज व दवा मुफ्त है।
हर समय दिल्ली के विकास की सोचता रहता हूं – अरविंद केजरीवाल
सीएम ने कहा दिल्ली में अगर कहीं किसी की दुर्घटना हो जाए, उसको पास के निजी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराए, दिल्ली सरकार इलाज का खर्च उठाएगी। दुर्घटना के बाद पहले एक घंटे में इलाज मिलने पर 80 फीसद बचने के चांस होते हैं। हमे पता है नौकरी के लिए लोग निकलते है, दिल्ली का ट्रैफिक और माहौल खराब है, इस कारण दुर्घटना पर निजी अस्पताल में मुफ्त इलाज की योजना बनाई। इन सब का श्रेय आपको जाता है। छह सात साल पहले केजरीवाल को कोई नहीं जानता था। सीएम ने कहा आपने जब से मुख्यमंत्री की जिम्मेदारी दी है, रात दिन सेवा में लगा हूं। पूरी दिल्ली को आगे कैसे बढ़ाना है, इसी में लगा रहता हूं। आगे आने वाले समय में भी दिल्ली को आगे बढ़ाते रहना है। मैं 24 घंटे लगकर आपकी सेवा करता रहूंगा।
दिल्ली की कानून व्यवस्था खराब, कड़े कदम उठाए केंद्र सरकार – सीएम
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल मीडिया से बातचीत के दौरान कहा कि दिल्ली की कानून व्यवस्था भी खराब है। दिल्ली सरकार जो भी कर सकती है, वह कर रही है। हमने सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगवाए। हम स्ट्रीट लाईट लगाने जा रहे हैं। मेरी केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री जी से अपील है, दिल्ली की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को दुरुस्त करने के लिए कड़े कदम उठाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने दिया पत्नी को नियुक्ति पत्र
कार्यक्रम के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने शहीद रूपेश गुर्जर की पत्नी मोनू को दिल्ली वक्फ बोर्ड में नौकरी का नियुक्ति पत्र दिया। इस दौरान दोनों बच्चे भी मौजूद थें। साथ ही रूपेश के भाई उमेश भी मौजूद थें।
इस दौरान चौधरी खैनी नंबरदार ने कहा मुख्यमंत्री ने जितना दे दिया, उसकी उम्मीद नहीं थी। जो भी मांगा, वह दिए। इस दौरान पालम सोलंकी, विधायक अमानत भाई भी मौजूद थे।
इस दौरान नेमचंद शर्मा ने कहा मुख्यमंत्री ने शहीद रूपेश के बच्चों का दाखिला केंद्रीय विद्यालय में कराया। रूपेश गुर्जर सरकारी सेवा में नहीं थें। फिर स्पेशल पावर का इस्तेमाल कर सहायता राशि दी। रूपेश गुर्जर चौक बनाया। मुख्यमंत्री ने पत्नी को वक्फ बोर्ड में नौकरी दी। यह बेमिसाल है।
एक साल पहले ड्रग माफिया ने की थी हत्या
रूपेश गुर्जर की एक साल पहले हत्या हुई थी। वह नशे के खिलाफ भाई उमेश के साथ लड़ते थें। इस कारण उनकी हत्या की गई थी। उस दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा था कि जो दिल्ली सरकार का काम होगा, वह करेंगे। सम्मान राशि, दोनों बच्चों का स्कूल में दाखिला, रूपेश की पत्नी मोनू को नौकरी व शहीद रूपेश के नाम पर चौक का नामकरण करने का वादा किया था। इन सब को मुख्यमंत्री ने पूरा किया।

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attends ceremony to honor martyr Rupesh Gurjar
New Delhi: Addressing a public meeting at Taimur Nagar in Okhla constituency on Sunday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he considers himself the elder son of every family of Delhi, and so it is his responsibility to provide a comfortable life to the people. He also paid condolences to the family of Rupesh Gurjar, who was murdered by a local drug mafia a year ago.
The Chief Minister said, “I had a family of seven people, which got bigger when I formed AAP. When I became the chief minister of Delhi, I got an even bigger family of 2 crore people. The entire Delhi is my family now. I understand the plight of a common man because I was the same as you all a few years back. I know the problems a common man has to face when he has to pay the electricity and water bills at the end of the month, I know the problems faced by him when he has to pay the school fees of his children. I know his pain when he has to arrange for finances to provide medical care to a sick person in the family. I believe that the 2 crore people of Delhi are my family, and I am like the elder son of this family. The elder son of the family is responsible for providing proper medical attention to his family, for paying electricity and water bills.”
We decided to help the family of Rupesh by revising the policy of the Delhi Government: CM Arvind Kejriwal
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “We all are gathered here today, to honor the bravery of martyr Rupesh. Brother Rupesh sacrificed his life while fighting against the drug mafia. It is a fact that people living in the same society do not care or do anything for each other, and the people who do are very rare. Brother Rupesh was one of those people. Every community has one such member who cares about other members, fights for them and is brave enough to sacrifice his life for them, and brother Rupesh was one of them. After the death of martyr Rupesh, his family had to go through a lot of difficulties. The people from Rupesh’s village met me and requested me to help his family during this crisis. They guided me to provide financial support to his family, for the admission of his children in better school, to provide a secured job to Rupesh’s wife and to name a street in the area after brother Rupesh’s name. We had to revise the policy of the Delhi government, but we decided on doing that to provide a stable and better future for the family. I pray to God that his children turn up to be as brave as their father and work towards the betterment of society and the nation.”
CM Kejriwal hands over appointment letter to martyr Rupesh Gurjar’s wife
During the event, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave a job appointment letter from the Delhi Waqf Board to martyr Rupesh Gurjar’s wife Monu. Both his children and Rupesh’s brother Umesh were also present.
Chaudhary Khaini Nandar said that the Chief Minister has done a lot for Rupesh’s family. Palam Solanki and MLA Amanat Bhai were also present at the event.
Nemchand Sharma said that CM Kejriwal has enrolled the children of Rupesh in Kendriya Vidyalaya. “Rupesh Gurjar was not in government service. The financial assistance was given using policy revision. Rupesh Gurjar Chowk has been built. The Chief Minister has got Rupesh’s wife a job in the Wakf board. It is unimaginable.”

Rupesh Gurjar was murdered a year ago. He fought with brother Umesh against drug intake. The Chief Minister had then said that they would fulfill their responsibilities as the government of Delhi. The financial assistance was provided to his family, both the children were enrolled in a government school, the wife of Rupesh, Monu, was given a job, and a street has been constructed by the name of Rupesh. All these promises were fulfilled by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“I want people to treat me as their elder brother or their elder son. You can come to me for any help without any hesitation, and I will help you in whatever capacity I can, as an individual, as a human and as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Members from Rupesh’s community and his village visited me a few days back, to thank me for helping Rupesh’s family. I would like to thank them instead, for trusting a common man with a huge responsibility five years ago, and for voting for an honest party in Delhi. All the development that is happening in Delhi is because the people have voted an honest party to power. A common man is the Chief Minister of Delhi,” CM Kejriwal added.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “I understand the plight of a common man because I was the same as you all a few years back. I used to reside in Kaushambi five years ago. I know the problems a common man has to face when he has to pay the electricity and water bills at the end of the month, I know the problems faced by him when he has to pay the school fees of his children. I know his pain when he has to arrange for finances to provide medical care to a sick person in the family. People often ask me how I think of all these things. This is only because I understand the pain of a common man. We decided to provide 200 units of free electricity, and 60-70% of people in Delhi are receiving zero electricity bills, which no other states in India could even think of doing. We are establishing Mohalla Clinics in each locality in Delhi, we are providing free treatments and medicines in all the Delhi government hospitals.”
I always want to work for Delhi’s progress and development: CM Arvind Kejriwal
“If someone suffers from a road accident, even though he is a non-resident of Delhi, you can take the victim to the nearest hospital, and the Delhi government will bear the cost of all of their treatment. We know that the people are constantly worried about the safety of their family members owing to the grave traffic problem in Delhi, and if any unfortunate incident happens, not every family can afford such high-cost treatments. The credit of all the development that is happening in Delhi goes to you all. A few years back, no one knew who Kejriwal is. You all have given me this huge responsibility and by God’s grace, we always try to be of service to the people. I hope that in the coming years, we would work towards the progress of Delhi in the same way. I pray for the well-being of Rupesh’s family and pray that his children grow up to the bravest and the kindest souls like their father. I pray that they make their parents and their village proud and serve the nation like their father,” said CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Delhi’s law and order situation grave, stringent steps should be taken by the Union Government – CM Arvind Kejriwal
Talking to the media, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi’s law and order situation is poor. The Delhi government is doing whatever it can to improve it. “We have installed CCTV cameras and are installing street lights in the city. I appeal to the Union Home Minister to take stringent steps to streamline the security arrangements of Delhi,” said the CM.
