अरविंद केजरीवाल दुनिया को देंगे दिल्ली का प्रदूषण कम करने को हुए सफल प्रयासों की जानकारी

नई दिल्ली : मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल दिल्ली के प्रदूषण को 25 प्रतिशत तक कम करने के लिए सरकार की ओर से किए गए सफल प्रयास की जानकारी दुनिया के सामने रखेंगे। इसके लिए अरविंद केजरीवाल 9-12 अक्टूबर के बीच डेनमार्क के कोपेनहेगन में आयोजित हो रहे सी 40 शिखर सम्मेलन में हिस्सा लेने जाएंगे। दुनिया के सबसे बड़े महानगरों में से एक होने के कारण मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को आमंत्रित किया गया है। मुख्यमंत्री दुनिया को प्रभावित करने वाले जलवायु संकट पर विचार-विमर्श करने के लिए न्यूयॉर्क, लंदन, पेरिस, लॉस एंजिल्स और बर्लिन जैसे शहरों के नेताओं के साथ बैठक में शामिल होंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री दिल्ली में वायु प्रदूषण को कम करने के लिए सरकार की ओर से किए गए प्रयास की विस्तृत जानकारी देंगे। जिससे दिल्ली के प्रदूषण को 25 प्रतिशत यक कम करने में अरविंद केजरीवाल सरकार को अभूतपूर्व सफलता मिली है। चार साल पहले तक दिल्ली दुनिया के सबसे प्रदूषित शहरों में शामिल थी। जिसके वायु प्रदूषण को अरविंद केजरीवाल के अथक प्रयास से कम करने में सफलता मिली।
इस बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री बेहतर बिजली आपूर्ति के लिए सरकार की ओर से किए गए प्रयास पर प्रकाश डालेंगे। जिससे जनरेटर सेट का चलन दिल्ली में लगभग बंद हुआ। दिल्ली में औद्योगिक प्रदूषण में भारी कमी आई। मुख्यमंत्री के प्रयास के कारण 95 फीसद इंडस्ट्री के सीएनजी में सिफ्ट होने से औद्योगिक प्रदूषण में गिरावट आई। साथ ही दो थर्मल पावर प्लांट को बंद किया गया। सरकार के प्रयास से निर्माण स्थलों से होने वाले प्रदूषण में कमी दजखने को मिली। दिल्ली में हरियाली का दायरा बढ़ा।
पर्यावरण मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत ने कहा कि यह भारत के लिए गर्व का विषय
है । भारत के एक नेता दुनिया के सामने दिल्ली की सफलता की कहानी पेश करेंगे। इसके अलावा मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल वायु प्रदूषण पर भविष्य की कार्ययोजना पर शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान भी बात करेंगे। ही ब्रीथ डीप्ली ’शीर्षक से एक सत्र में, शहर के नेता, विशेषज्ञ, और व्यापारिक नेता उन शहरों में चल रहे नए समाधानों पर चर्चा करेंगे। जिससे वायु गुणवत्ता में सुधार कर रहे हैं और स्वस्थ, अधिक न्यायसंगत और समृद्ध समुदायों का निर्माण कर रहे हैं। सीएम केजरीवाल के वायु प्रदूषण के समाधान के रूप में ऑड ईवन योजना के बारे में बोलने की भी संभावना है। वायु प्रदूषण से निपटने के उद्देश्य से दिल्ली सरकार की प्रमुख योजना ऑड ईवन ने पहली बार जनवरी, 2016 में अंतरराष्ट्रीय जिज्ञासा उत्पन्न की थी। दिल्ली के अलावा, केवल पेरिस और कुछ अन्य शहरों ने इस तरह की योजना को सफलतापूर्वक लागू किया है। मार्च 2016 में सीएम केजरीवाल को अभिनव ऑड ईवन योजना के सफल कार्यान्वयन के लिए फोर्ब्स पत्रिका ने दुनिया के 50 सबसे महान नेताओं में एक के रूप में चुना था। मुख्यमंत्री ’एशियन मेयर और सिटी लीडर्स कम कार्बन समावेशी विकास बैठक’ नामक शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान एक कार्यक्रम में वशिष्ठ वक्ता भी हैं। एशिया के सबसे बड़े शहरों के महापौर और शहर के नेता यह चर्चा करने के लिए मिलेंगे कि हरियाली का उपयोग करके और कम कार्बन पदचिह्न छोड़ने के लिए कैसे समावेशी और स्थायी विकास हो सकता है। सीएम केजरीवाल के दिल्ली सरकार के बिजली और अन्य क्षेत्र के सुधारों की आपूर्ति में भारी निवेश के बारे में बोलने की संभावना है। इससे न केवल बिजली की आपूर्ति सस्ती हुई, बल्कि डीजल संचालित जनरेटर सेटों के माध्यम से होने वाले कार्बन उत्सर्जन में कमी आई। विभिन्न शहरों के नेताओं के साथ कई द्विपक्षीय बैठकों की भी योजना बनाई जा रही है। जिसकी घोषणा बाद में होगी।

CM Kejriwal to present Delhi pollution success story during C40 Climate Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark
– CM will present Odd Even, and other solutions that worked for Delhi’s ongoing fight against air pollution
New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to speak at the C40 Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark between 9-12 October. Invited as the leader of one of the world’s largest metropolises, the chief minister will join leaders of the cities like New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles and Berlin on the high table of urban powerhouses to deliberate on the climate crisis impacting the world.
The chief minister is expected to speak on his government’s experience in lowering air pollution in the city and present the set of initiatives taken by the Delhi government that led to the 25% reduction in air pollution in the city. After many years of gaining notoriety as one of the world’s most polluted capital cities of the world, this is a major shift in the discourse as the success story of Delhi bending the curve on air pollution will be a major talking point for the chief minister.
CM Kejriwal is expected to speak about the role of improved electricity supply and the phasing out of generator sets on a large scale, the peripheral highways, the crackdown on construction sites, the increased green cover and the massive reduction in industrial pollution due to shutting down of two thermal power plants and shifting industry to CNG.
Confirming the development, the Environment Minister Kailash Gahlot said, “It is a moment of pride for India that a leader of the country will present a major governance success story before the world.”
Additionally, the chief minister will also be speaking during the summit on the future plan of action on air pollution. In a session titled ‘Breathe Deeply’, city leaders, experts, and business leaders will discuss the innovative new solutions underway in cities that are improving air quality and creating healthier, more equitable and prosperous communities.
CM Kejriwal is likely to speak about the Odd Even scheme, as an innovative solution to the air pollution spike. Odd Even, the flagship scheme of the Delhi government aimed at tackling air pollution, had generated international curiosity the first time it was implemented in January, 2016. Apart from Delhi, only Paris and some other cities have successfully rolled out such a scheme. In fact, in March 2016, CM Kejriwal had been picked as one of the world’s 50 greatest leaders by Forbes Magazine for the successful implementation of the innovative Odd Even scheme.
The chief minister is also a confirmed speaker at an event during the summit called the ‘Asian Mayors and City Leaders Meeting on Low Carbon Inclusive Growth’. Mayors and city leaders of Asia’s largest cities will meet to discuss how inclusive and sustainable growth can be attained using greener energy and leaving a low carbon footprint. CM Kejriwal is likely to speak about the Delhi government’s massive investment into improving the supply of electricity and other power sector reforms because of which not only was power supply made cheaper, but it also led to a lower emission through diesel powered generator sets.
Several bilateral meetings with leaders of various cities are also being planned and will be announced closer to the summit.
