राजिंदर नगर से आम आदमी पार्टी के उम्मीदवार राघव चड्ढा ने अपनी माता जी और परिवार की उपस्थिति में सादगी भरा नामांकन दाख़िल किया।
नामांकन दाख़िल करने से पहले उन्होंने अपनी माताजी के साथ सुबह अपने न्यू राजिंदर नगर के इलाक़े के प्रसिध्द साई बाबा मंदिर में दर्शन किए और गुरुद्वारे में जाके माथा टेका और आशीर्वाद लिया।
इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा, “आज अपनी माँ और परिवार के आशीर्वाद के साथ राजिंदर नगर विधानसभा से आगामी चुनावों के लिए अपना सादगी भरा नामांकन दाख़िल किया।
राजिंदर नगर के लोगों की सेवा करना मेरे लिए अपने परिवार की सेवा करने जैसा है और मुझे अपनी जन्मभूमि को अपनी कर्मभूमि बनाने का अवसर देने के लिए मैं सभी के दुलारे मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल जी और क्षेत्र के सभी लोगों का आभारी हूँ।”
उन्होंने कहा कि वे ईश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि उन्हें विजयी बनाएँ ताकि मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के हाथ और मज़बूत हो सके। गुरूद्वारे से निकलकर उनकी माताजी अपने पुत्र को देखकर भावुक हो गईं और उन्होंने उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि भावुक होना स्वाभाविक है और उन्हें अपने बेटे पर बहुत गर्व है कि उन्होंने जनता की सेवा करने का नेक रास्ता अपनाया है|

दिल्ली मुख्यमंत्री और आम आदमी पार्टी के संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने अपने करीबी सहयोगी राघव चड्ढा को राजिंदर नगर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से अपना सिपाही चुना है। राघव चड्ढा योग्यता के आधार पर एक चार्टर्ड एकाउंटेंट हैं जिन्होंने लंदन में एक आकर्षक कैरियर छोड़ कर भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ आंदोलन में हिस्सा लिया। वे आम आदमी पार्टी की स्थापनसे से ही पार्टी से जुड़े रहे हैं। राघव दो एहम कारणों से राजिंदर नगर विधानसभा क्षेत्र के लिए स्वाभाविक पसंद थे:
- राघव राजिंदर नगर की मिट्टी के पुत्र है। राघव का जन्म विधानसभा क्षेत्र के प्रसिद्ध गंगा राम अस्पताल में हुआ था और वह न्यू राजिंदर नगर में अपने परिवार के साथ रहते hai। राजिंदर नगर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में उनकी स्थानीय जड़ें बहुत गहरी हैं। यहाँ बड़े होने के अलावा, उनके पिता और माता के परिवार सात दशकों से अधिक समय से शहर के इस हिस्से में रह रहे हैं। राघव के पिताजी का पक्ष ओल्ड राजिंदर नगर और न्यू राजिंदर नगर में स्थित है, और उनकी माताजी का पक्ष नरैना विहार में रहता है। पूरे निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में मजबूत पारिवारिक समबन्ध हैं और इस क्षेत्र में जन्म लिया और पले बढे; राघव इस क्षेत्र की गली गली से वाकिफ हैं| उनकी सहायक प्रवृत्ति, सरकार में प्रभाव और समस्या हल करने में तत्परता ने उन्हें इलाके में एक घरेलू नाम बना दिया।
- राघव भारत में नयी युवा और शिक्षित राजनीति का चेहरा हैं। हालांकि परंपरागत राजनीति में राजनीतिक सत्ताधारी, पैसे / बाहुबल वाले उम्मीदवारों का दबदबा रहा है या, राघव ने योग्यता के आधार पर अपना साबित किया है।
राघव चड्ढा देश के सबसे प्रसिद्ध युवा नेताओं की सूचि में गिने जाते है| 2011 में 23 साल की उम्र में इंडिया अगेंस्ट करप्शन आंदोलन में शामिल हुए और आम आदमी पार्टी की स्थापना के साथ राजनीती से जुड़े| देश प्रेम की भावना के प्रभाव में उन्होंने लंदन में अपनी जॉब छोड़ भारत वापिस आने का निर्णय लिया|
आम आदमी पार्टी में राघव चड्ढा की यात्रा 2011 में जमीनी स्तर पर विशेषज्ञों और शिक्षाविदों के साथ काम करके दिल्ली चुनाव के लिए AAP का घोषणापत्र तैयार करने से हुयी। यह बदलाव का वक़्त था जब अखबार और न्यूज़ रूम में केवल लोगों और घोटालों के बजाय नीतियों और शासन पर चर्चा करने के लिए मजबूर हो गए थे| आखिरकार एक चुनाव विकास की तख्ती पर लड़ा जा रहा था, न कि पहचान की राजनीति पर।
आम आदमी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता के तौर पर राघव ने अपने विनम्र स्वभाव, अच्छी समझ और तार्किक वाणी से अच्छे-अच्छों को धराशाई किया है। टीवी पर चीख़ने-चिल्लाने की इस दौड़ में श्री राघव चड्ढ़ा को आपने अक्सर अपने तर्कपूर्ण जवाबों से विरोधियों की बोलती बंद करते हुए देखा होगा। जब AAP को अभूतपूर्व बहुमत से दिल्लीवालों ने चुना, तो CA की डिग्री और एक आकर्षक करियर के बावजूद वे राजनीतिक क्रांति में वापस जाने के लिए बहुत निहित थे। वापिस आने पर एक कार्यकर्ता से पूर्णकालिक पार्टी सदस्य के रूप में उनका संक्रमण शुरू हुआ। उन्होंने दिल्ली सरकार के बजट के मसौदा तैयार करने में वित्त मंत्री के साथ सलाहकार के रूप में शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य सेवा पर बल दिया। इन सेवाओं की पेशकश के लिए वेतन के रूप में प्रति माह 1 रूपया लिया| उन्होंने ढाई महीने की पूर्ण राशि रु 2.5 को MHA को वापस लौटा दी, जब दिल्ली सरकार के कई सलाहकारों की पूर्वव्यापी बर्खास्त कर दिया गया।
26 साल की उम्र में उन्हें पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय कोषाध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया जो आम आदमी पार्टी में एक बड़ी जिम्मेदारी है, जहाँ हर उदार दाता से प्राप्त हर एक पैसे की पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही की जाती है। यह एक चुनौती बतौर थी जिसमे केंद्र की राजनीति तहत उन्होंने प्रवर्तन निदेशालय, सीबीआई, चुनाव आयोग से नोटिस का जवाब देने के लिए निरंतर काम किया|
इसके तुरंत बाद जब AAP को असंख्य कानूनी मामलों के जाल में उलझा दिया गया तो राघव को कानूनी टीम का नेतृत्व करने के लिए बुलाया गया। नेताओं, विधायकों, पार्टी या बड़े पैमाने पर अभियोगों के खिलाफ गढ़े हुए मामलों में राघव ने आम आदमी पार्टी को जीत दिलाकर अपनी काबिलियत साबित की । राघव चड्ढा आप के हर संकट के केंद्र में भरोसेमंद नौजवान सिद्ध हुए है।
राघव चड्ढा ने 2019 लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ा और दक्षिण दिल्ली निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से कड़ी टक्कर दी। इस प्रक्रिया में, वह संगठन को मजबूत करने, कार्यकर्ताओं को जुटाने और 10 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों के विकास कार्यों की पूर्ती करवाने में सफल रहे| उनके अभियान में शामिल होने के लिए अन्य राजनीतिक दलों के कई नेताओं और कार्यकर्ता भी प्रेरित हुए। अब आम आदमी पार्टी के अनुभवी नेता राजिंदर नगर विधानसभा क्षेत्र से अपना पहला स्थानीय चुनाव लड़ने के लिए तैयार हैं, जो कि राघव की स्वाभाविक सीट है।
राघव की शैक्षिक क्षमता और विश्लेषण का अंदाज़ा इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि उन्होंने चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंसी की कठिन परीक्षा महज़ 22 वर्ष की उमर में पास कर ली और किसी भी राजनैतिक दल में सबसे युवा प्रवक्ता होकर आम आदमी पार्टी का पक्ष प्रभावशाली ढंग से सामने रखा। वह अपने गुण और अनुभव के साथ राजिंदर नगर विधानसभा में विकास के लिए काम करेंगे। क्षेत्र में गहरे संबंध होने की वजह से क्षेत्र के लिए काम करना उनके लिए अपने परिवार के लिए काम करने जैसा है| राघव का ध्यान विभाजनकारी राजनीती करने की बजाय काम करने पर है और वे चाहते हैं कि राजेन्द्र नगर के मेहनती लोग बेहतर से बेहतर सुविधाओं का लाभ उठाएँ।

Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate from Rajinder Nagar, Raghav Chadha, filed his nomination papers today in the presence of his mother and family.
Before filing his nomination he visited the Sai Baba Mandir near his house to seek blessings followed by a visit to the local Gurdwara as well.
On the occasion he said, “Today I filed my nomination as a candidate from my birthplace Rajinder Nagar Constituency, with the blessings of my mother, family and loved ones.
Serving the people of my constituency would be like serving my extended family. I am truly grateful to our beloved CM Arvind Kejriwal and the people of Rajinder Nagar for giving me opportunity to serve the people and place that made me who I am today.”
He said, that he prays he emerges victorious as it would further strengthen Kejriwal’s resolve to transform Delhi for all. Meanwhile, his mother was overcome with happiness and pride and teared up a bit. She said she is very proud of her son who has chosen a path of public service.

Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal has chosen his close aide Raghav Chadha to be his foot soldier from Rajinder Nagar constituency. Raghav Chadha is a Chartered Accountant by qualification who left a lucrative career in London to join the India against corruption Movement. He has been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party since its inception. Raghav was the natural choice for Rajinder Nagar Assembly Constituency for two simple reasons:
- Raghav is Rajinder Nagar’s son of the soil. Raghav was born in the assembly constituency’s famous Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and resides with his family in New Rajinder Nagar. His local roots are very deep in your constituency. Besides growing up here, his father’s and mother’s families have lived in this part of the city for more than seven decades. Raghav’s father’s side of the family is also based in Old Rajinder Nagar and New Rajinder Nagar while his mother’s side of the family lives in Naraina Vihar. Having been born and brought up in the area with strong family ties across the constituency; Raghav is not only exceptionally well versed with the area but also has strong ties across the neighbourhood. His helpful nature, influence in the government and practice of quick grievance redressal made him a household name in the locality.
2.Raghav is the face of new young and educated politics in India. While politics has largely been dominated by candidates with money/muscle power or having political godfathers, Raghav has proved his worth time and again on the basis of merit.
Raghav Chadha has established himself as not only Aam Aadmi Party’s, but one of the country’s most recognisable youth leaders. From joining the India Against Corruption movement in 2011 at the age of 23, he has grown with the party.
Raghav’s journey in Aam Aadmi Party started back in 2012, working with teams from the grassroots, field experts and academicians to compile their findings and draft what became AAP’s manifesto for first Delhi assembly elections. In a refreshing break, newspapers and newsrooms were forced to discuss policies and governance instead of people and scandals. An election was finally being fought on the plank of development and not on identity politics. At the forefront of these discussions was a young Raghav, pushed into the media spotlight and scrutiny he became the party’s calm, composed voice of reason in panel’s full of loud, seasoned politicians. Not only did he stand his ground, he has since become a familiar face in media as national spokesperson, navigating the party through every success and controversy.
When AAP took office in 2015, Raghav was involved in the drafting of the annual budget of the Delhi Govt, working briefly but closely with the Finance Minister as advisor to give education and healthcare their due importance as promised to the people of Delhi. These services were offered for a token salary of Re. 1 per month, the full sum of which, Rs. 2.5, has since been returned to the MHA after the retrospective sacking of multiple Delhi Gov advisors.
At the age of 26 he was appointed the party’s national treasurer, a position of great responsibility in a party that prides itself on transparency and accountability of every single penny received from every generous donor. Soon after this as AAP was embroiled in a web of myriad cases, all of them fabricated, unable to stand in court, Raghav was called in to lead the legal team. Be it small fabricated cases against leaders, MLAs, the Party or massive indictments that threatened to destabilise the government- Raghav was at the forefront of leading the defence.
Raghav Chadha contested the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections and gave a tough fight from the South Delhi constituency. In the process, he was successful in strengthening the organisation, mobilising volunteers across 10 assembly constituencies and inspired many leaders and volunteers from other political parties to join his campaign. Now the seasoned leader from Aam Aadmi Party is set to contest his first local elections from the Rajinder Nagar assembly constituency, a seat which is Raghav’s natural seat. Raghav’s ability for academic rigour, analytical thinking and his articulation are apparent in his clearing the difficult CA exams at the tender age of 22 and his role as a national spokesman for the party; all qualities he will bring to Rajinder Nagar Vidhan Sabha to push for greater development in his constituency. For Raghav, given his deep roots, it will be like doing it for his own extended family, which he considers all the people of this constituency as.
