AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal held a massive jansabha in Bhopal on Tuesday. The rally was attended by thousands of locals and saw the presence of AAP’s Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann. Shri Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the scams of the Madhya Pradesh state government, including the Vyapam scam, Katni Hawala scam, and WCD Anganwadi scam, while sharing his anti-corruption agenda. He also condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allowing his party to indulge in corruption and arrest good leaders, such as Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain. He urged the people of Madhya Pradesh to vote for the AAP, promising to end the buying and selling of MLAs, provide free electricity, and improve education. Shri Arvind Kejriwal emphasised that the voters of Madhya Pradesh are tired of the current BJP government and want a change, saying, “Madhya Pradesh wants change, earlier there was no alternative, now you have the option to vote for AAP. Singrauli gave a trailer by electing AAP’s first Mayor in MP, bring us to power in assembly elections and complete the whole picture.”

During his speech, Shri Arvind Kejriwal attacked the BJP saying that the day PM Narendra Modi sent Manish Sisodia to jail, he realised that it is necessary for the nation to have an educated Prime Minister. “Only if the PM is educated will he realise the importance of providing good quality education to the children of the nation,” he said. He reiterated that if the PM was well educated then he would not worry about which political party a person like Manish Sisodia belonged to, and would pick a person of his qualities to become the Education Minister of the country and give him the responsibility to fix the 10 lakh government schools in the country.

He further pointed out that if the PM was indeed well-educated then he would have good knowledge of economics and would not be fooled into carrying out an exercise like demonetization. Shri Arvind Kejriwal highlighted that the exercise was carried out in the name of rooting out corruption, and forced the citizens of the country to stand in long queues, but the problem of corruption still persists.

The Delhi CM also said that a well-educated PM would have better understanding of science and technology and would not ask the citizens of the nation to stand on their terrace and balconies to bang plates to defeat COVID-19.

The AAP National Convenor also said that buying and selling of MLAs is another major problem faced by the voters of Madhya Pradesh. He said that a few people from the state had come to meet him recently and during the meeting when asked what the biggest problem of the state was, people spelled out different problems such as corruption, high unemployment, high inflation and issues faced by the farmer community. But he said that the response of one of the persons was that in Madhya Pradesh the state governments are bought and sold by political parties.

He added that as soon as the elections get over in the state, members of a political party come out and sell MLAs as if they were selling vegetables. He said that discounts are also offered if a large number of MLAs are traded off or if the state government itself is overthrown. Therefore as soon as the elections are over, the residents of the state begin to feel very helpless about the situation. He also said that the political parties in the state have turned the system into a fish market and made a mockery of the Constitution of India.

He said that the residents of the state are angry with the current Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is popularly also referred to as “maama”, and wants to overthrow his government. The last time the people had achieved this feat as well, but then once again the BJP bought MLAs and managed to form their government in the state. He added that the voters of MP are tired as despite voting against the incumbent CM, he went on to sit on the throne.

Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that this time around this problem will not be repeated and asked the people to vote for “jhaadu” instead. He said that gone are the days where the MLAs could be bought and sold in the market like vegetables. He urged the people to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party, so that this whole system of buying and selling of their votes will be ended for good. He added that earlier the people did not have an option apart from the BJP and the Congress, but said that this time there is a new party and the people’s desire for change will be brought about by AAP.

The Delhi CM went on to say that the trailer for this can already be seen in Singrauli, where the Mayor Smt Rani Agarwal belongs to AAP. He therefore said that AAP has already made its mark in the state and in the upcoming elections in the state, the entire film on AAP’s victory will be seen by the people. He added that after that Madhya Pradesh will also be on track to embrace development just like in Delhi and Punjab.

Highlighting that the Congress has been in power in Madhya Pradesh for 45 years and BJP for 20 years since Independence, he said that the residents of the state have given both the parties plenty of chances and yet there has been no development in the state. He urged the people to vote for AAP this time around for a change and promised that if AAP does not work for the people then he will never return to Madhya Pradesh to ask for their vote once again.

Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Delhi once gave AAP a chance in 2013, soon after they had emerged from the Andolan. It was just a 49-day government that could be formed, but the people of Delhi fell in love with AAP in such a manner that in the next election the party went on to win 67 out of 70 seats in Delhi. The BJP won just three seats and the Congress party was wiped out. Five years later in 2020, the people still loved AAP so much that the party went on to win 62 out of 70 seats.

After Delhi, the people of Punjab embraced AAP and it went on to win 92 out of 117 seats in the state. He added that like it had done in Delhi, the people of Punjab also have started to get free electricity. Shri Arvind Kejriwal urged the people of Madhya Pradesh to vote for AAP and promised to provide free electricity to the residents of the state as well.

Highlighting the AAP model of governance, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that in Delhi the children of poor families are being provided excellent education in the government schools of the city. He said that at a time where government schools in other parts of the country run in tents and lack good quality teachers, the poor children in Delhi go to good quality schools and go on to become doctors, engineers, etc. He also added that the government schools in Punjab have also become excellent within a year and asked the residents of Madhya Pradesh to embrace AAP, so that their children can also go to good quality government schools.

He also added that the state government has built excellent hospitals and mohalla clinics in Delhi. They are of such great quality that even private hospitals cannot match the treatment provided in government hospitals. The CM said that over here healthcare to everyone in Delhi is free-of-cost, be it a medicine costing Rs 5 or an operation costing Rs 20-25 lakhs. He said that he hoped everyone remains healthy, but God forbid, if anyone falls sick in the family then the state government takes care of it.

He also highlighted that 500 Mohalla Clinics have been built in Punjab within a year and lauded Shri Bhagwant Mann of his efforts. He also urged the people of Madhya Pradesh to vote for AAP and said that if AAP forms the government here then in a similar manner mohalla clinics will be started in the state and the state government would bear the costs of the medical tests and medicines of the residents of the state.

The Delhi CM added that in Punjab, MSP is provided for several crops and said that slowly more and more crops are being added into this ambit. He also said that if crops are damaged due to some reasons then the farmers are given insurance for their crop. The same scheme will be started in Madhya Pradesh if AAP is voted to power, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said.

Highlighting the AAP government’s focus on creating employment for people, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that in Delhi over the last eight years 12 lakh jobs have been provided to the residents of the state. Similarly, Sardar Bhagwant Mann has provided more than 27,000 government jobs in the last one year in Punjab. He also said that he was informed that the Madhya Pradesh government recently ordered a lathi charge at protesters who were taking out a dharna asking for jobs. He added that if the intentions of the state government are in the right direction, then only they can create jobs for their residents. He assured the people that the intentions of AAP government is always to work for the people and that jobs will be created for residents if AAP is voted to power in MP.

The AAP National Convenor said that in Delhi and in Punjab contractual workers have been made permanent over the years. He highlighted the example of Punjab and said that over 25,000 contractual employees have been made permanent within a year. He said that the same would be done in Madhya Pradesh soon.

He focused on AAP’s “kaam ki rajneeti” approach and said that it does not believe in the politics of religion and caste identities like other political parties. The Delhi CM asked the people if in the last several decades any political party had come to them and asked for their votes promising to build good schools and hospitals for them. He said that AAP had given such a model to the people that the other political parties now fear that they will not be able to get votes because they do not work for the people.

He said that this was the reason AAP’s political opponents are now looking for ways to hurt the party and defame it in some way or the other. He pointed out that after Delhi, AAP has now entered Punjab and also made a huge dent in Gujarat and therefore the BJP is now going after the party and its leaders. He revealed that this was the main reason why the BJP created fake cases through the central agencies and got its two key ministers in Delhi – Shri Satyendar Jain and Shri Manish Sisodia – arrested.

He pointed out that Shri Satyendra Jain was the brain behind the model of providing free electricity to the residents of Delhi. “Satyendar Jain is a very intelligent man and one day he came to me and said that the electricity for all the residents in Delhi can be made free. I asked him how this can be done and he showed me some papers and explained that if we have this amount of money then it can be done and he went on to do it. He also designed the mohalla clinics for the people of Delhi and ensured free medicines to all the residents of Delhi, but PM Narendra Modi put him in jail for his works,” he said.

AAP National Convenor said that Shri Manish Sisodia was sent to jail only because he had revolutionised government schools in Delhi. “If you look at a government school outside of Delhi and Punjab, it is in a terrible condition. There are over 10 lakh government schools in the country and over 18 crore children study here and their future seems to be bleak. It has been 75 years since Independence, and for the first time God had sent a person who had the capabilities to fix the government schools of the country. Manish Sisodia revolutionised the government schools of Delhi and now the people are taking their children out of private schools and enrolling them in government schools. Children from poor families are becoming doctors, engineers and lawyers. This is what Manish Sisodia has done for Delhi and PM Narendra Modi sent him to jail.”

Attacking the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the Vyapam scam and said that it must be one of the biggest scams of Independent India and over 45 people also lost their lives due to it. He pointed out that the scam might have been worth between Rs 8,000-10,000 crores and yet no one was arrested for it. He said that the Prime Minister did not take any action as the accused were all linked to his political party. Similarly, he pointed out the Rs 100 crore scam in the WCD Ministry, a portfolio which is held by the Madhya Pradesh CM, and said that fake anganwadis and beneficiaries were created in this scam. He pointed out that there is a list of scams that have taken place in Madhya Pradesh under the BJP government.

The Delhi CM attacked the PM for letting corruption take place under his watch and said that the Prime Minister was openly allowing corruption to take place within his party. While opposition leaders are threatened by central agencies and sent to jail, those who join the BJP are free to do corruption and no agency will ever probe them. He contrasted this with the honesty of the AAP-led government in Punjab and said that soon after the Bhagwant Mann-led government was formed in the state, the Health Minister of Punjab was found to be indulging in corruption. Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that the Punjab CM could have hidden the matter as no one in the media or the opposition was aware of it, but he immediately decided to send the minister to jail. Similarly, he said that recently an AAP MLA in Punjab was found to be indulging in corruption and he was also immediately sent to jail.

Shri Arvind Kejriwal called out the Prime Minister and said that this is what honesty means. He said that for AAP leaders, it does not matter who indulges in corruption, but if there is evidence then that person will be sent in jail. On the other hand, the BJP lets its own leaders indulge in corruption and sends the central agencies after leaders of opposition parties.

He concluded by telling the people that despite all forces being against the Aam Aadmi Party, the people of the country and God was with the party and therefore no force can stop it from rising. “The people of Madhya Pradesh have to work very hard and go out to the residents of the state and urge them to vote for AAP as it is the only political party that believes in honesty. With the support of the people, AAP will soon form the government in MP and the “jhaadu” will clear the dirty politics of the state,” he said.
