CM makes surprise visit to Kondli Mohalla Clinic after complaints
- Pulls up Health& PWD Officials over shortcomings at the centre
- Directs immediate redressal of all the problems at the centre
Chief Minister Sh. Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday, August 28, made a surprise visit of the Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinic (AAMC) in Kondli. He was accompanied by the Health Minister Sh. Satyendar Jain and senior officials of Health and PWD. The local MLA Sh. Manoj Kumar was also present during the visit.
The Chief Minister decided to make a surprise visit after he received complaints over non-availability of some medicines and infrastructural problems at the clinic. The complaints were received at the Janta Samvad conducted by the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister checked the medicine availability registers and pulled up the officials of the health department over the non-availability of some medicines at the clinic. Health department was also pulled up over tests not being done at the centre. He also pulled up the public works department (PWD) officials over the non-functioning of the air condition and problem in the main door of the clinic.
Unhappy over the state of affairs at the clinic, the chief minister called a meeting immediately after the visit with the concerned Minister and secretaries of the concerned department in his office.
During the meeting the Chief Minister directed the health secretary to take immediate measures to ensure availability of all medicines with immediate effect, tests to start immediately at the centre. The official ensured the Chief Minister that all the directions would be complied with immediately.
The PWD has been directed to install the air conditioning system and repair the main door of the centre immediately, to which the department ensured that they would execute it immediately.
Decision was also taken in the meeting to install CCTV Cameras inside the clinics to monitor the upkeep of the centre and proper functioning.
The Chief Minister, along with Health Minister, Health department officials and PWD officials, would meet the Doctors of all the Mohalla Clinics in the next week and discuss the status of the clinics and if they were facing any problem.
