Undertaking to be signed by candidates
Once a candidate has been chosen by the people of his or her constituency, he or she will have to take public oath and swear to the following party norms:-
- If elected to office, I will not use a red light on my vehicle.
- If elected to office, I will not keep any unnecessary security for my person. Security forces are meant for public use and any elected official needs only the same degree of security that a common man or woman may need.
- If elected to office, I will not live in luxurious and opulent government bungalows.
- I fully believe in the party's philosophy of SWARAJ and believe that in a democracy power should lie directly in the hands of the people. If elected to office, I will do everything in my power to realise the goals of SWARAJ. Until such time that legislation is brought about for complete SWARAJ, I will work in my constituency with the approval of my constituents and not without it.
- I am committed and oath bound to Janlokpal and Electoral Reforms. And I will do everything in my power to bring these legislations into force.
- I completely believe that governments should not have the right to take a man or woman's land without his due consent. If elected to office I will do everything in my power to bring about a legislation to ensure the aforesaid principle.
